A clean-up campaign for Winton is being coordinated by Council. Council is seeking the cooperation of all residents to make this campaign a successful one, the program commences on:
Monday 1st March 2021 and will continue until Friday 12th March 2021
During this period, the Winton Shire Council will, within the town precinct, collect all residential unwanted items and rubbish (excluding asbestos) for FREE.
All items for collection will be required to be placed on the footpath in a neat and tidy manner in separate piles of general household and green waste to enable easy pickup.
No items will be collected after this designated period.
It is important to note that if you currently have items stored on footpaths and other public land, such items are to be moved prior to the clean-up project commencing.
Anything remaining on the footpath and other public land during and following the clean-up campaign will be considered as unwanted and subsequently removed and disposed of.
Persons wishing to remove residential heavy/large items will need to register their items by contacting Council Officer Ms Karen Bates to arrange an inspection, on (07) 4657 2666 or via email at karenb@winton.qld.gov.au. Upon inspection and acceptance that the items can be safely removed, such items will be removed for FREE.
Council encourage everyone to please take advantage of this service.
