Corona Virus Update #7

Winton Shire Council provides the following update regarding the reopening of Council facilities:

The following facilities are open:

  • Council Depot
  • Council Administrations Office
  • Winton Neighbourhood Centre (Limit of 20 people unless providing an essential public service)
  • Aged and Disability Services
  • Little Swaggies Child Care

The following facilities have been reopened with a limit of 20 people, one patron per 4 square metres and social distancing observed:

  • Winton Showgrounds
  • Winton Library
  • 60’s & Better
  • Waltzing Matilda Centre
  • Outback Regional Gallery
  • Visitor Information Services
  • Garden Club
  • Winton Shire Hall
  • Eric Lenton Memorial Sports and Recreational Ground (non-contact indoor and outdoor sporting-based activities)
  • Patricia Bucknell Memorial Park Playground
  • Hollow Log Park Playground
  • Winton Skate Park
  • The Musical Fence
  • Campgrounds

Restricted access applies to the following facilities:

  • Winton Gym (Only open for supervised training sessions)
  • Winton Pool (Seasonal closure in place)
  • Youth Centre (Closed – program to be delivered from alternative location)

Travel:

  • As per Chief Health Officer directions, only Queensland residents and those considered exempt can enter Queensland from interstate.
  • Unlimited intrastate travel and overnight stays for all of Queensland.
