Wild Dog Trapper - Contract Position Available




Wild Dog Trapper


Applications are invited for the contract position of Wild Dog Trapper with Winton Shire Council.


The preferred applicant will be an experienced Wild Dog Trapper and will conduct a trapping program in conjunction with the Winton Shire Council and Winton Wild Dog Management Committee.


Applicants should address their ability to meet the below mentioned Key Selection Criteria which include having:

  • All of their own vehicles and equipment to undertake the role including but not limited to motor vehicle, bike, trailer, trapping/camping equipment, mobile phone etc
  • A current weapons licence
  • A general understanding of the role of a Wild Dog Trapper and in particular the responsibilities under the Bio Security Act 2014 and the
  • Current Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • Current Insurances


Remuneration will be on a contract basis with a daily rate when engaged on site, and a scalp bonus.  The successful contractor will be engaged under a Goods and Services Providers Contract and will have a monthly work schedule determined by the key stakeholders and authorised by the Rural Lands Officer.
