THIS YEAR THE OUTBACK FESTIVAL INC WILL BE CELEBRATING IT'S 20TH FESTIVAL!

  • Bingo with 60s and Better at the Winton Club from 7.00pm Thursday 3rd September.
  • Little Swaggies Poker Night held at the Winton Club. Texas Hold'em Poker is the game, $20 ticket entry. Fundraising event for the Little Swaggies Child Care Centre.
  • Outback Regional Gallery - Exhibition
    BHP Billiton Waltzing Matilda Photographic Competition and Exhibition on display from 7th September to November 2009.
  • Outback Regional Gallery - Foyer
    Highlights the Shire Collection. On display from 7th September to November 2009.
  • Isolated Children's & Parents Association State Conference
    Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th September 2009 at the Shire Hall. Contact Emma Brodie on (07) 4657 3031.
  • Official Opening of the BHP Billiton Cannington Waltzing Matilda Photographic Competition and Exhibition at 6.00pm at the Outback Regional Gallery, located at the Waltzing Matilda Centre.
  • North Gregory Turf Club Races held at the Winton Show Grounds and race track on Saturday 19th September from 11.00am.
  • Winton Markets: Come along and grab a bargain! Held in the Riley Street car park from 8.00am, Sunday 20th September.
  • Winton Golf Club "Pelican Waterhole Golf Masters"
    Held at the Winton Golf Club, 8.00am Sunday 20th September. 18 hole competition.
  • Move Over Mrs Markham
    A comedy presented by the Winton Players at 8.00pm, Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd September at the Winton Shire Hall. Tickets available at the door.
  • Winton Outback Festival
    This event is not to be missed! Held every second year in September with five whole days of fun filled entertainment that is guaranteed to please young and old alike!   • Winton Show Holiday
    Public holiday will be on Friday 25th September during the 2009 Outback Festival.

  • Aikido

  • Creative Arts

  • Friday Night Football
    From 5.30pm. Kick off at 7.30pm at the Winton Club every Friday night.
  • Golf -18 Hole Competition every Sunday from 8.00am at the Winton Golf Club, Vindex Street. Contact Robyn Stephens on 0429 806 140.      
  • Lawn Bowls with 60s and Better at the Winton Bowls Club every Tuesday morning from 7.30am at the Winton Bowls Club. Please call to confirm the time with Loretta Searle on 4657 1753.
  • Nostalgia Night at the Royal Open Air Theatre
    'Memories of Yesteryear'. Nostalgia performance sitting in old canvas seats under the stars. Screening starts at 8.00pm every Wednesday night (other nights by arrangement). Come and enjoy. Adults $6.50 and Children $4.00.
  • Queen of Hearts Draw
    Every Saturday night from 7.00pm at the Winton RSL Club, Oondooroo Street.
  • Social Lawn Bowls

  • Social Tennis
    Held every Wednesday, 6.30pm, at the Eric Lenton Memorial Recreation Grounds, Fraser Street. Contact Joanne Warren on 4657 1249.
  • Squash
    The Winton Squash Courts, Elderslie Street (near the pool) are available for hire Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. $8.00 for 1/2 hour. Key can be obtained from the Pharmacy or Matilda's Wardrobe.
  • Winton Health and Fitness
    Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5.30-6.30am, 6.30-8.00pm. Fatburner classes available at 5.30-6.30pm. At the Eric Lenton Memorial Recreation Grounds, Fraser Street. Contact Melissa on 0447 570 110.

Church Services

  • St Paul's - Anglican/Uniting Church service is held every Sunday from 8.30am.
  • Winton Christian Fellowships church service is held every Sunday from 9.00am.
  • Catholic Church service is held every Sunday from 6.30pm.
