  • Diamantina Devils Vs The Longreach Thompson Tigers
    Come and enjoy a great afternoon as the Local football team battles it out against the Tigers. Held at the Eric Lenton Memorial Grounds on Sunday 2nd August from 3.00pm. Food and bar operating.
  • Bingo
    Held at the Winton Club on Thursday 6th August from 7.00pm.
  • Corfield Races, Quick Shears and Golf Competition
    Enjoy an action packed of horse racing, shearing and even a spot of golf. Entertainment for the kids. Food and bar available all day. Saturday 8th August 2009.
  • Diamantina Open Golf Championship
    Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August 2009 from 10.30am.
  • Opera Performance Waltzing our Matilda
    Queensland Arts Council Performance. Held at the Winton Shire Hall on Wednesday the 12th August from 7.30pm.
  • Diamantina Rodeo
    Come along and enjoy a full day of entertainment. Catering and bar operating all day. Held on Saturday 15th August 2009.
  • Winton Markets
    Come along and grab a bargain! Held in the Riley Street Car Park on Sunday 16th August from 8.00am.
  • Fun Games Morning & Multi Draw Raffle
    Held on Monday 17th August from 9.00am at the 60's & Better. Followed by a sausage sizzle.
  • Lunch at Long Waterhole
    60's & Better are holding a lunch for Seniors week at Long Waterhole on Tuesday 18th August from 11.00am.
  • Model T Ford
    A Re-enactment of the early beginnings of Qantas. Tuesday 18th August.
  • Morning Tea and Quiz Games
    Held at the Winton Library on Wednesday 19th August from 10.00am.
  • Morning Tea and Movie
    Held at the Waltzing Matilda Centre, Thursday 20th August from 9.30am. 
  • Dinosaur Discovery Week
    Monday 24th to Sunday 30th August 2009 and Monday 31st August to Sunday 6th September 2009.  

Regular Events

  • Aikido
    Held every Wednesday from 6.00pm and every Saturday from 11.00am at the Shire Hall Supper Room. For more information contact Greg Coulton on 0427 571 124.
  • Dancing
    Bring your dancing shoes and dance the night away, you might even learn a groove or two! At the Winton Club every Thursday from 7.00pm. 
  • Friday Night Football
    From 5.30pm. Meal available. Kick off at 7.30pm at the Winton Club every Friday night.
  • Golf
    18 Hole Competition held at the Winton Golf Club every Sunday from 8.00am. New members are welcome. 
  • Lawn Bowls: Winton Bowls Club
    Every Tuesday morning from 7.00am at the Winton Bowls Club. For more information contact Loretta Searle at the 60's & Better Club on 4657 1753.
  • Nostalgia Night at the Royal Open Air Theatre
    'Memories of Yesteryear'. Nostalgia performance sitting in old canvas seats under the stars. Screening starts at 8.00pm every Wednesday night (other nights by arrangement). Come and enjoy. Adults $6.50 and Children $4.00.
  • Queen of Hearts Draw
    Every Saturday night from 7.00pm at the Winton RSL Club, Oondooroo Street.
  • Social Bowls
