Water Grants - Helping to Desilt Winton's Wetlands

Winton Shire Council would like to thank the Australian Government Water Fund for a $25,000 grant received under the Community Water Grants scheme for desilting the wetlands.

The work at the ponds has been completed and the capacity of the ponds has increased. As a result the water discharge from the wetlands is treated to a higher standard, improving our environment.
