Wild Dog management plan review
A Wild Dog Management Plan has been drafted for the purpose of implementing an effective, efficient and coordinated approach to controlling wild dogs that aims to reduce impacts on livestock production and to increase Landholder participation within the Winton Shire area.
Copies are available from the Winton Shire Council Chambers, Winton Library, Winton Neighbourhood Centre and on Council’s Website. The draft management plan is available for public review and comment for a period of approximately 30 days. We are very conscious of engaging the community and affected landowners to ensure all points of view are given proper consideration. We encourage you to review the draft management plan and submit your feedback in writing to Council prior to Monday 26th August 2019.
The proposed procedure for introducing the new Winton Wild Dog Management Plan is as follows:
1. Public Consultation
2. Review and consider feedback
3. Management Plan amendments as necessary
4. Management Plan adoption at Council meeting
5. Management Plan to be effective from
